A Pawsome Collab with Hooray Heroes!

I was so excited when I was contacted by Hooray Heroes to work on one of their special edition books titled, The Pawsome Adventures! Hooray Heroes has created a book that's fun for all ages and showcases the perfect grouping of stories to celebrate you and your four-legged friend. 

The Pawsome adventures is a completely customizable book where you can make characters to resemble you and your pet. For my book, I decided to make my story about my niece Olive and her favorite cat pal Jack. Pets are so special to all of us and this book is so great to help capture that bond. Since my niece is soon to be turning 1 years old, I thought making the book about her and her furry friend would be the perfect keepsake to have when she gets older. I loved how many different story options there were to pick from. I specifically chose the story about going to a broadway show because my sister in law used to be an actress so I love that the story would be one they could share together. 

Now, let's talk about the amazing illustrations in the book! I am absolutely in love with all the graphics and how cute everything looks. The quality of these books is absolutely incredible and they make the perfect gift. I just know this book will be a big hit once I give it to her for her birthday. Not only will kids love these customizable books but adults too!

May favorites ft. Dr. Martens

Summer is almost here, the season I love to hate! Although I'm so excited to have sunny, happy weather here in Portland, I start to crave the fall and cozy rain filled nights. I've decided to enjoy the warm weather while it lasts because I know my favorite season is just around the corner. May has been super hot here in the Pacific Northwest which is a little shocking but it has really been a mood lifter after the gloomy winter and spring days. May has been a whirlwind of a month so I thought I would share a few of my favorites with you guys.

First up on the list is beauty. I have been loving the Saie Glowy Super Gel Dewy Highlighter. I love mixing this highlight in with my foundations to provide an extra glow. I use the shade Starglow which is a really nice champagne color that looks beautiful on the skin. I've also been loving Dossier perfumes. Dossier is a company that makes designer fragrances without the high cost. I've been loving their scent Woody Chestnut which is a dupe for Replica's By the Fireplace. 

Next up is shoes! I was so excited that Dr. Martens reached out to partner with me and send me a pair of their Clarissa II sandals which have been a staple in my wardrobe since I received them. I have always admired Dr. Martens from afar and wished I had a pair so I was super excited when they reached out. I've been a big fan of their boots but I was glad to try out a pair of their sandals after seeing them on so many fellow bloggers. They always look so amazing and they definitely did not disappoint! If you want to splurge on a great pair of shoes, I highly recommend. 

Last on the list is entertainment. Has anyone else been obsessed with the television show You? I know, I'm way behind. My cousin forced me to watch an episode a couple weeks ago and I've been obsessed ever since. While waiting on season 3 I decided to pick up a few books. First,  the book You by Caroline Kepnes which so far I haven't been able to put down and second Play It As It Lays by Joan Didion. Yes, I did get this book because Joe and Love are seen reading it in season 2 but I promise it is well worth the read.

January Favorites

January is the start of a new year and it is also the time I start craving summertime. My skin is drier than the Sahara, I haven't seen sun in months, and I am so over the cold! January is almost a year in itself with how long it seems to drag on but now that we've made it to February, things can start to look up.
