The Beauty Edit

Untitled #325

1. Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation: This foundation has been on my wishlist for at least 2 years. I haven't yet brought myself to pay the $58 dollars for a foundation but it is definitely on my to try list.

2. Dior Lip Glow: This is another product I haven't yet brought myself to pay the hefty price tag on but I've heard so many people rave about this product and I can't wait to give it a try.

3. Colourpop Liquid Lipstick in Tulle: Something more on the affordable side, the new Colourpop liquid lipsticks. I'm all about the nude/90's lip trend right now and this color looks perfect! I have tried their lipsticks before and absolutely love them so I have high hopes for this product.

4. Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Nillionaire: I have never tried a Colourpop eye shadow but I have been eyeing up the many colors and trying to find the perfect shade for me. Nillionaire is a typical color I wear everyday so I thought I would stick to a shadow I knew I would get lots of use out of.

5. Tarte 'The Sculptor' Contouring Stick: I have been wanting some type of contour product for what seems like forever! When this contouring stick released I was so excited about how easy it looked to use.

6. Prada Candy Perfume: I am in love with this perfume! I usually go for musky type scents but something about this one captured my attention. It smells really sweet but I love that about it. It's such a unique scent to all the other perfumes out there.

7. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown: I am a huge fan of Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper but when I saw she released a brown color I instantly added it to my list. Also, the name totally sucked me in because I'm obsessed with that movie!

8. Jouer Cream Highlight in Camellia: I have only ever had powder highlights but my skin is dry/combination so I've been wanting a cream highlighter to better fit with my skin type and this one just looks so pretty whenever I see people use it so I really want to give it a try.

9. Nars Sheer Glow Foundation: This foundation has been on my list for a while. Every time I go to Sephora I can't help but swatch it. One day I will make the leap and actually purchase.

What I Wear: College Edition

When it comes to college, the thought of putting in a ton of effort sounds nice until the morning of class and you just can't be bothered. Most days I wear a baggy sweater and yoga pants, comfy and can be made to look like you actually tried. I'm also obsessing over the jean jacket trend, it's so easy to throw on and adds a bit of flair to your outfit. I always wear a bit of a heel, I am not a big flats girl, I don't even own any. Heeled booties can really spice up a look. Here are some of the looks I swear by for feeling comfortable and stylish even in the early mornings when the last thing you want to do is put a ton of effort into your look: My College Essentials

Wardrobe Essentials

Now, when it comes to your wardrobe, making sure you have the essentials is key, especially when you are on a budget. I am a college student so I am definitely on a strict budget when it comes to clothes. These are some of my staple pieces that I think are a must have for any girls closet: Wardrobe Essentials

Wardrobe Essentials by earthtokarly featuring moonstone jewelry
1. A good leather jacket- you can dress it up, keep it casual, it really is such a versatile piece and can add an edginess to any outfit.

2. Some basic Tee's- your standard t-shirt is always going to be a great key piece to have in your wardrobe. they go with nearly anything and can be styled super casual or dressed up for fancier occasions.

3. Flowy bohemian dresses- the bohemian trend is huge right now (my personal favorite). I'm so obsessed with the relaxed yet super fashionable look of them. These are perfect for if you have a dressier occasion to go to (drinks with the girls, college mixer, etc.) I absolutely love the versatility they provide. Also, adding a dark lippy and some chunky heels can add edge to the outfit if you want to spice up the look a bit.

4. Chunky heels/booties- I'm truly obsessing over the chunky heel! I'm so glad they are in style because they are so much easier to walk in than stilettos! If you are like me, I have to have a bit of a heel on my shoe, it gives me a major confidence boost. A good pair of booties is key for the fall and winter and a good chunky heel is great when you want to dress up an outfit.

5. Jewelry: layered necklaces, chokers, and statement rings- Although not an essential for everyone, I think some key jewelry pieces are important to add a little extra something to an outfit. I love to stack multiple necklaces and play around with all the different options it provides.

6. A good bag- I've always been one to love humongous bags but lately I'm loving the super tiny, over the shoulder bags that are majorly on trend right now. It's so much easier to carry than a giant bag and I find it forces you to only carry your essentials rather than a million things you don't need.

Here are a few outfits I put together using the essentials:

R5, Sometime Last Night Tour

One of my absolute favorite things to photograph is concerts. Usually the venue and/or the artist does not allow you to bring in a DSLR camera but I'm lucky that my favorite band could seriously care less. Arguably the best night of my life and probably the best live show I have ever been to. I'm so glad I got to capture some moments from the show.
